To start the assignment we were given a stimulus that we had to follow and our was revolution. To start with we discussed a list of things to do with this theme and came up with a few ideas high school bully being over taker, a manager being over taken but we then decided to go with a dance teacher who gets over taken by her students. When we had our idea first we went though how we could make it into a revolution. at first what we did is we had Naomi (dance teacher) try and teach my character a simple dance routine and I had to act like I couldn't do it, then we decided to change it as our teacher said it would be much better if we were all in the room when the teacher comes in and we had to look like we didn't care about the class so for example we had to roll our eyes or pretend to be a sleep. We took a piece of paper and started writing what we wanted to do for each scene. what went well in our group was when someone missed a lesson we were still able to carry on and then fill them in when they came back. As rehearsals went on we started to add more and then take things away E.G we added a fly for comedy but then we ended up not filming it. When we started filming we had to take a lot of shots but it actually took a lot less time then I thought it would. I think the things that went well was when we filmed it was short and I think we worked very well as a group. Things that needed improvement was we needed to come up with an idea much quicker then we did so we would have had more time.
I feel like it went very well when we watched our films and i feel like most of the credit has to go to the media students as when we were filming it i thought how was it going to be a silent movie, as when we had watched Charlie Chaplin in his silent movies it looked a lot different then ours was. The skills i was able to use in practice was team work and improvising both of these skills are very useful as they are what you need when working with people and our teacher put us in groups with people we do not usually work with as he might have wanted to see how we copped with the challenge. To conclude i feel that the piece went very well.
