#weareallimagrants evaluation

I think that the performance went very well because we all stayed in character the whole time. Preparing for this piece was a bit hard as we had to make up a whole story from scratch and everyone had such different ideas. We all found a way to start piecing the story line together. To begin with we got given a piece of paper that had a story on it then we were split into groups and we had to come up with a short performance using the stories. There was one story about a girl who doesn't get served at a medical centre and we decided that we were going to use that in the play. Then a couple of drama lessons later Rob told me and a couple of other people to go in another room and think about making another short performance. We decided to do a performance about a family who works on a field and one of the children want to run away to escape the life he is stuck in. Another thing that helped was when we were given paper and we had to write about what we thought it meant to be an immigrant. I think the performance went well but if I was to change/improve one thing I would maybe add  a bit more to the performance to stand out a bit more.

I think that my piece went very well, I never forgot my lines and I think I stuck to the script very well. I also think it was good because there were some parts that we added in for example we added in a lot of things for Ben like when he would start to annoy my character we added in taps and he would also fidget a lot. looking art others perform was good because it made it fun to see how all the pieces were together. I liked the way that Abdul and Jordan dealt with the slip up in the piece, although they messed up they still carried on and never ghosted. I feel like I was very prepared as me and Dillon went though the piece so many times that I learnt my lines in less then a week. Looking up the plot helped as I only had two pages but looking at the whole script helped my pick out my character's personality. we spent a lot of time running through our piece and it helped so much even if at the end i was trying to pull the hairs out of my head. to help me with the play i looked up different people playing the roles so i could get a gist of what to do.
